Nepali Chef Basanta Rai has become one of the six winners at the seventh edition of the Washoku World Challenge — a Japanese cooking contest for non-Japanese chefs across the world. He is the second chef from Nepal after Chef Santosh Shah to shine in the international culinary scene within months of each other. With over 20 years of experience in culinary field, Chef Basanta have mastered the art of making Japanese cuisines. In those days he have worked for many multinational and 5 stars hotel in different part of the world including UAE and Malaysia.
